The Heat Of The Sun

Lyrics to WebMD Says I'm Dying
I've been up for half the night
Running circles in my mind
I was hoping to start focusing, but oh, no
All my worries crept up from inside

Watch old movies until dawn
Listen to every Beach Boys song
And I always get so lonely on a holiday or after it rains
It's less of a feeling, yeah, it's more of a haunt

How do you shake it aside?
Aren't you dying inside?
Well, I don't wanna know
But I just can't let it go
There's nothing I could do that would make sense to you

I started, uh, uh, piano with what I considered a recluse period where I was confined to my bedroom
We're all chemistry, we're made of chemistry
When you get off writing a song, I mean you're high
Your, your chemistry in your body changes
Definite change of chemistry when you're happy as, uh, opposed to when you're sad
And I'm not saying I need this high, I say enjoy this high, like coffee
I mean, people in America, they get up and they, they're addicted, they need that cup of coffee for that lift
It's something they look forward to but that's positive
I say if you look forward to doing something and you get a good result from it
Straight ahead, green light
It's an artist's obligation to continue his, uh, constructive work, you know his work
Every artist, any artist that you find has that feeling
He feels the need to please, you know
And it's a very personal thing, and it's making people happy
Which is my first goal, to make people happy
