Same Old Blues Lyrics

Have you heard that rumor that's going 'round?
You got a woman way across town
It's the same old story, tell me, where does it end?
Same old news, same old blues again

Well, I wrote you a letter, you must've read it wrong
Stood at your doorway, but you was gone
I took a lot of time, I let the telephone ring
Same old blues, same old blues again

When you gave me the business, well, I didn't mind
'Cause I got a lot of patience, and I got a lot of time
Same old story, tell me, where does it end?
Same old blues, same old blues again

Gonna find me a mountain, gonna hide out
'Cause I'm talking to you, and it ain't coming out
Yes, I heard that rumor, tell me, where does it end?
Same old blues, the same old blues again
