Remember The Day Lyrics

Remember the day
The first signs of trouble
The dust and the rubble
Unspeakable loss
Remember the day
The courage and valor
That ran to the towers at such a great cost

Remember the day
How we were shaken
That our hearts awaken to what matters most
And remember that day
Remember the day
Oh, remember

Remember the day
The flags that were waving
There's something awakened in our broken hearts
And remember the way
A flood of compassion
Swept through our nation
And lit up the dark

And remember the day
That brought us together
And showed us the power we have when we're one
And remember the day
Remember the day
Oh, remember
Remember

Remember the day
The scarred and the broken
The words left unspoken
The songs left unsung

Remember to pray
For comfort and healing
For wisdom in leading
Till the journey is done

And remember the way
We looked past what divides us
Find the light inside us and let that light shine
And remember the day
Remember how we've been changed

And remember that day
As we carry on
Oh, remember
