Lyrics to Entropy/Schrodinger's Wife
Saffron sits in her window and wonders where she comes from
She stares at the stars and how they lie ten is two 'cause of space time and light
And it makes me kind of sad because she talk about when waves go flat
Saffron says in her bedroom there's a black hole where socks and hairties go
She says someday she wants to find it then she'll be gone in just the fraction of a second
Then nothing, she'll be nothing.
Saffron runs from her back door to the carousel she used to love
She hopes that if it goes fast enough she can find a place with no more love or pain
Faster and faster but the speed of light is still faster by a hundred times
She says I'll find the end of me 'cause it all is just entropy
And she tells me such funny stories
He put her in a box and he never let her out
With a little bit of poison and quite a lot of doubt
That she really might be dead because really she's alive
As long as he promised he would never peak inside
He kept her there for hours he talked to her everyday
Believing with his whole soul she'd hear everything he's say
And to herself she thought how could he do this to me?
Please open this damn box so that death can set me free
Saffron sits on her rooftop staring at the stars feeling alone
She says that what we see is just an explosion they're moving farther from us
She says when they're farthest you can see it will all just be entropy
But she tells me such funny stories.
One day while drinking coffee by the box that held his wife
He felt an overwhelming urge he had to peak inside
His faith was getting fleeting for she never did reply
But darling when you doubt everything you believe dies
And so the scientist killed his lovely wife!
