Any idea is made art through you,
So natural,
You write so well, it all sounds good.
Though it's all beyond my understanding,
I'm told it's brilliant.

Black and white film
You make seem new and original.
There's a plot, but it's a silent film,
And you mask it well,
Quick cuts and slow fades
Keep my attention.

And I don't know what's next
But then again, I've been lost from the start,
You don't have to explain, excuse, or apologize for your art,
So long as it's come out,
Who cares what it's about?

I have read your haikus as well,
Let me just say this,
If you're new to it, it's hard to tell.
Your syllables work miracles
Through restrictions of 5-7-5.

And those who'd kill to write like you:
They're killed off in a page or two
Of violence.
I heard you once spared some, saying,
They're not well-versed like me.

So I can't help them much,
But I can say write with your biggest heart,
Don't dare to explain, excuse, or apologize for your art,
So long as it's come out,
Who cares what it's about?
