Ghosts Lyrics

I'm out of insights and insides, a transparency. A floating film forgotten on an autumn breeze. Words careen down empty alleys and streets where i swore we'd meet. Now everywhere i've walked, you won't see a footprint. Stopped and left no imprint. Ghosts touch temporary hosts then disappear. A white outline in steam, crisp against a winter night, gets missed and twisted out of view. As you step through and over sewer grates and navigate abandoned cityscapes, I watch and wait. The fate we've made so purgative, is a life without affect.
